Dr. Aubrey’s fees vary depending on the length and nature of services and are set in accordance with provincial guidelines suggested for the profession. Fees will be discussed prior to your first appointment. Please phone Dr. Aubrey’s office for more information.
Debit, cheque, and cash are accepted. There is no GST for psychological services in British Columbia.
Appointment times are reserved exclusively for you. Dr. Aubrey requires a minimum of 24 hours notice from the time of the appointment in order to have the opportunity to offer that time to another individual. Any missed appointments without 24 hours notice will result in a fee.
Fees for counselling and assessment are not covered by our provincial health plan (MSP). The fees for psychologists in British Columbia are covered by many private or business extended health plans. As a general rule of thumb, if you have coverage for dental expenses you are probably also covered for psychological service. Please do not hesitate to ask about insurance during your initial call.
Questions you may wish to ask your insurance provider:
- Do I have coverage to see a registered psychologist?
- What is my deductible for these services?
- What is the coverage amount per session?
- Do I require a referral or approval from a physician for coverage?
- When does my coverage renew?
- Who in my family is covered and for what amount(s)?
The fees for psychological services can be claimed as a medical expense and are tax deductible – save your receipts!
