Meet Dr. Aubrey

Dr. Kate Aubrey is a registered psychologist (#2170) in Kelowna, BC who works primarily with children and families. Dr. Aubrey has a background in child development and her training focused heavily on both the assessment and treatment of mental health disorders  across the lifespan. Dr. Aubrey and her husband welcomed their first child in March 2019, a healthy baby boy named Lucas.

How She Can Help

Dr. Aubrey’s approach to children’s mental health is shaped by this belief: “Kids do well if they can.” Her strengths-based and interactive approach to treatment is grounded in empirically-based and scientifically rigorous tools and methods. Dr. Aubrey draws from a variety of theoretical perspectives, including cognitive-behavioural, interpersonal, and problem-focused models. She works collaboratively with families to develop an integrated approach to treatment that is tailored to their particular goals and interests.

Dr. Aubrey also conducts learning and social-emotional assessments to better understand why children struggle with academics, behaviour, or emotions.
